Dr Chalee Vorakulpipat is the principal researcher and head of the Information Security Research Team at the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) in Thailand. He has a background in information systems and focuses his research on information security, digital transformation, health IT, and data privacy. His most recent impactful project is the International COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate, involving a wide range of stakeholders such as travellers, physicians, public health personnel, and IT developers.
Information systems research in the UK offers a new paradigm and perspective, leading to the emergence of a diverse array of new research topics within specific contexts, such as women in IT, IT in developing countries, and IT in specific settings. All universities in the UK maintain a high standard, with little variation between them.
Chalee’s future aspiration is to put the nation first for greater impact.
