Why choose the Researcher Connect
Researcher Connect is a professional development course that focuses on the development of excellent communication skills for international and multicultural contexts.
Researcher Connect contributes to the researchers’ professional development in key areas outlined by the Vitae Research Development. Researcher Connect is offered as a series of modules delivered in a workshop format by experienced and quality-assured trainers.
Researcher Connect has been run in over 15 countries, delivering training to approximately 800 researchers around the world. Researcher Connect is delivered by a pool of trainers with a wealth of experience of academic engagement and workshop delivery. Our trainers are based at some of the UK’s leading institutions and have up-to-date knowledge of current research publications and conferencing trends. Researcher Connect is also supported by trainers from the British Council Professional Development Centre in Singapore, who offer first-class training services and support for workshops throughout the world.
We currently offer the following short modules:
- Foundation
- Abstracts (ABS)
- Presenting with impact
- Persuasive proposals
Numbers of participants
Workshops are for up to 25 researchers from any discipline (including a mixture of disciplines) and at any stage in their career.
Certification
A certificate of completion will be given to each participant to demonstrate their attendance at the course.
