UK-Thailand Research Funding Opportunities is a series of webinars co-organised by the National Science and Technology Development Agency, the British Embassy and the British Council focused on funding opportunities for researchers in Thailand.    

Episode 1: Newton Fund Opportunities

The first episode “Newton Fund Opportunities” will be held on 12 May 2020 at 2-4 pm. The session will touch upon the following topics:

  • Details of the Newton Fund and open calls including the Newton Fund Mobility Grants, Newton Fund Institutional Links (IL) and the Newton Fund Impact Scheme (NFIS)
  • Discussion with representatives from the Thai funding partners on research directions and Thai priority areas. The session is led by:
    • Prof. Dr. Sirirurg Songsivilai, MD, Executive Director, National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT)
    • Mr. Punpermsak Aruni, Senior HRD Specialist, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation
  • How the NSTDA Research Support Office can support researchers in applying for international research funding
