About the Worksop College

We all want our children to be the best that they can be and at Worksop College we pride ourselves on providing an outstanding learning experience that supports each and every child to reach their full potential.

Where better can your child learn, develop and enjoy their education than in our stunning school set in 330 acres of idyllic North Nottinghamshire countryside. The excellent teaching standards are complemented by superb facilities for learning, sport, art, ICT, performance and music and the range of extra-curricular activities is second-to-none.

Strong pastoral care and support is also a central component of a happy school experience. The House system at Worksop is particularly strong and the range of House-led activities adds to the pride and loyalty that pupils feel for their respective Houses, something which remains long after the pupils have left Worksop College.

Playing sport is an important part of life at Worksop College and your child will be encouraged to participate. We offer a great variety of sporting opportunities to tempt all pupils, even those who may not think of themselves as 'sporty' or competitive. The College grounds offers enviable space and facilities such as county cricket standard grounds, immaculate rugby and hockey pitches including two astro turf surfaces. Each sport has its own area including netball and tennis courts, an athletics track, an indoor swimming pool, squash courts and a modern Sports Hall with a fully equipped gym.

Every Autumn and Spring term, ten different universities from across the country visit The College for our Sixth Form Lecture Series, delivering an unrivalled programme of lectures to our students by eminent University Professors and lecturers. The academic successes of our pupils allow them to move on to continue their education in some of the top universities in the country with a number gaining places to Oxford or Cambridge.

Worksop College is well known for its music and the Worksop Music Concert Series exemplifies the breadth and quality of music that is enjoyed here. There is a full and exciting Evening Activities Programme which changes each term and includes kayaking, Zumba, a Japanese Society, climbing, a Book Club and much more.

Worksop College offer an outstanding boarding provision and have recently built a new state-of-the-art 60 bed boys' boarding house to match the high standard of facilities already on offer for the girls.
