Calling all aspiring speakers! This is your chance to showcase your talent and win a prize.
The British Council would like to invite all students aged 6-17 years old both young learners and the public audience to join our speaking competition on the topic ‘Dream Comes True’. Simply, submit a two-minute video of an English presentation on the topic.
There will be four categories to join based on the following age group.
- Primary Plus 1-3 (age 6-8)
- Primary Plus 4-6 (age 9-12)
- Secondary Plus 1-3 (age 12-15)
- Secondary Plus 4-6 (age 16-17)
Winning prizes await:
- Free English course (term B/2024) for the final champion in each category
- 50% discount on our English course for the runner-up in each category
- 20% discount on our English course for the 1st runner-up in each category
- 5% discount for all entries*
- Certificates for all entries
Additional prizes for British Council Young Learner students: branch winners in each category receive a 15% discount on our English course, and all entries receive a 5% discount.
Criteria:
Winners will be selected based on the criteria of Creativity and Presentation, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Pronunciation so be sure to stand out with your innovative approach, diverse vocabulary, impeccable grammar, and clear articulation.

- Date & time: Sunday 8 September 2024 (10.00-16.00)
- Venue: Central Pinklao
- Public audience: registration starts at 10.00 and competition begins at 11.00
- British Council Young Learner students: registration starts at 13.00 and competition begins at 14.00
