The Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), the Ministry of Education Thailand and Teacher Council of Thailand recognise Aptis and IELTS for student and teacher as the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) assessment.
OBEC and the Ministry of Education are strongly endorsing the use of the CEFR for standards of English education. English tests endorsed for use in student graduation and teacher education are pegged to this global standard in order to achieve excellence in English education in Thailand for the benefit of students, teachers and national economic development. Our tests have been designed to align to the CEFR and are rigorously tested and academically proven to be excellent indicators of level making them some of the most widely used and trusted tests in the world. The CEFR has 6 levels: Pre-A1, A1 (beginner and elementary levels), B1 and B2 (intermediate levels) and C1 and C2 (upper intermediate and advanced levels).

As Primary education comes to an end, students have reached a key milestone in their learning journeys. It’s the ideal moment to assess their level of English and inform future learning goals when moving into secondary education. Students aged 9 to 12 do better when they're interested and motivated, which is why we designed our tests with that in mind. Our Primary English tests use story-based animation to engage students so that they can do their best.
