Located on a beautiful campus in the North West of England with over 12,000 students, Lancaster University places great emphasis on a strong student experience and employability and gives students access to academics who are experts in their field. With excellent rail links to the rest of the UK, Lancaster is only 1 hour from the city of Manchester, 2.5 hours to London, and 2 hours to Scotland.

Lancaster is one of only a handful of universities with a collegiate system, which has helped to forge a strong sense of identity and loyalty, and continues to be a distinctive feature of student life at Lancaster. Students from over one hundred different countries make up a thriving community based around our nine colleges, creating a very culturally diverse campus.

Lancaster's community extends far beyond the campus with research, teaching and student exchange partnerships with leading universities and institutions in 24 countries around the world. Lancaster is constantly developing partnerships across the globe to ensure it delivers teaching that takes students to the frontiers of knowledge and produces graduates who can compete in a global job market. In addition to exchange partnerships, Lancaster also has four strategic partnerships teaching validated Lancaster degrees overseas in Ghana, China, Malaysia and, most recently, Germany.

Lancaster's journey has been a remarkable one, and it is now one of the top universities in the world and consistently ranked in the top ten of all three major UK league tables, with many subjects featuring in the top five.
