Role overview

We are looking for full-time Instructors of English (teacher) in one of our partner schools in Chiang Mai, Regina Coeli College.

Regina Coeli College is a prestigious kindergarten, primary and secondary school for girls based in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. The British Council’s partnership programme began at the school in in 2012 and we have developed a strong relationship with the school, its stakeholders and its students since then. We are now an integral part of the school and we take part in a lot of its regular events and activities.

The British Council programme currently delivers English language tuition within the school’s timetable to all students in the kindergarten and primary sections of the school. We teach over 1,000 young learners across seven levels over a 5-day week. It is our goal at Regina to maximise spoken communication in our classrooms and give our students lots of opportunities to use English in a variety of contexts.

Our team also gets involved in local teacher training and peer observations within the school as well as developing and leading on INSETTs and workshops that benefit the team and the school. We are also actively looking to expand our partner school network of schools so there are opportunities to deliver presentations, workshops and demonstration lessons off-site. We work in a fully-furnished and equipped British Council office on-site with a learning lounge attached which has a library for students and a study space for lunchtimes and after-school activities.

Enquiries about the post can be sent to the East Asia Regional Teacher Recruitment team based in Singapore.
