Background
English is regarded as being a core element in Thailand’s education system almost thirty years on since it was made a compulsory subject in primary schools and is now widely viewed as the main foreign language in Thailand’s schools.
'ReBoot’ is the name of a new online moderated course, based on the flagship large-scale face-to-face Regional English Training Centres (RETC) “Bootcamp” Project held in Thailand between 2016-2018. This intensive teacher development training reached 15,268 teachers across 20 cohorts in 19 centres nationwide. A three-week long, in-person course, it was delivered between 2016-18 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Bootcamp underwent complete remodelling, from a fully face-to-face model to a fully online model as a transformation of RETC/Bootcamp as a digital, online offer.
