Norwich School is a co-educational, independent school for pupils aged 7-18. The school is one of the oldest schools in the UK, with nearly 1,000 years of history, and is located within the Cathedral Close in the centre of Norwich. Academically, the school is one of the highest-performing independent schools in the UK; it was ranked 58th nationally in The Times A-Level league table 2016 and was placed 14th in the national ‘Destination of Independent School Leavers’ table in the Times School Guide 2016.

All pupils take regular exercise and gain experience of team games as well as individual events, and the school competes against other schools in 21 different sports. The school also has a strong reputation for its range and achievement in music, with over 47 music groups including choirs, orchestras and bands. The school encourages pupils to take part in a range of extra-curricular activities in order to broaden their horizons and we offer a full schedule of clubs and societies, as well as an extensive Community Service programme for our Sixth Formers.

Joining us in Year 12 (at age 16), our international pupils live with local British host families and are therefore able to become fully immersed in the English language and culture. Our international pupils are allocated specific international tutors and take part in a coherent programme of English language support in addition to their academic subjects.
