Committing to building strong and healthy relationships between Thailand and the UK through the exchange of knowledge, experience and creative ideas, the British Council Thailand Arts team is launching a festival showcasing the innovation, diversity and excellence of British films in September and October 2013.
Designed to link UK films and filmmakers to local talents and audiences, the festival presents a wide range of creative works and innovation in the film industry including:
- A series of associated ‘Live events’ including the first ever Secret Cinema event in Thailand
- A live audio-visual performance by The Light Surgeons, the UK’s awarding-winning, multi-media artists
- Independent films, documentary, animation and shorts from emerging filmmakers
- Classic films from the British Film Institute (BFI)
The festival is scheduled to take place in Bangkok and other cities in Thailand. Subsequently, the festival may travel to other cities in South East Asia. Connect with British Council Thailand or subscribe to our Arts e-newsletter and we’ll keep you posted about our upcoming Arts events.
