About the programme
STEM Education is an educational approach that integrates knowledge from four fields: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Teaching STEM in primary and secondary education can help students become interested in STEM careers and build a nation’s STEM-educated workforce that can be used to meet the demands of business and industry in a complex and technology-driven economy.
Under the Newton Fund, British Council Thailand is working with The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) and the Ofice of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) to develop STEM Education programme for the national curriculum in Thailand. The programme will support knowledge exchange and partnership opportunities between UK and Thailand and increase the understanding of and engagement with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in Thailand.
