GEDI1

Phase I

In its initial phase, the project engaged 35 Southeast Asia universities and 5 UK universities. The primary objective was to foster an environment where leadership becomes transformative and increase shared understanding of GEDI (challenges and opportunities).

The project facilitated the exchange of leadership tools, ideas, and initiatives among higher education leaders, aiming to contribute to the successful management of institutions and the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG4 (Quality Education), SDG5 (Gender Equality), and SDG17 (Partnerships).

Key components of this phase included the leadership workshops, UK-SEA Leadership Exchange Grants, and the creation of a white paper that informed the subsequent phase of the project.

Phase I of the project ran from November 2021 - December 2023.
