TeachingEnglish Southeast Asia is looking for expert teachers, teacher educators and other English language teaching professionals who would like to participate as speakers in our live events in 2024-2025.

Do you have English language teaching expertise to share? This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with the British Council and showcase your expertise on a regional platform that reaches thousands of English teachers annually.

We are looking for experienced teachers, teacher educators, and other English language teaching professionals from the ASEAN region who would like to participate as speakers in our flagship online conference, live online webinars and social media for 2024-2025. Our aim is to share ideas and knowledge across different countries, helping educators stay updated with the latest research and innovations in English language teaching.

Webinar proposal guidelines

We welcome submissions from individuals or groups wishing to share their expertise with a regional and international teacher audience.

Session Guidelines

  • Length: We recommend 30 or 45 minutes of presentation time, followed by 15 minutes for questions and answers.
  • Interactivity: Engage with the audience using Zoom's text chat and polls for a more interactive session.
  • Platform: All sessions will be conducted online via Zoom.
  • Rehearsal: Practice sessions will be available for all speakers before their live session.
  • Resources: Enhance interactivity with slides, audio, and video, depending on your internet connection.
  • Audience Take-aways: Include recommendations for free online resources from www.teachingenglish.org.uk .
  • Local Relevance: Ensure your content is relevant to the needs of teachers in ASEAN countries, addressing specific challenges, opportunities, or practices pertinent to educators in the region.
