Lomfon Tunlaya-anukit (Caillou) Runner up

Paraan Prajongsan (Lompran) Winner

What did you think about the Thailand Eye Exhibition and the British Council competition activities?

I thought it was interesting to do activities outside of the classroom. My house is not far from the Bangkok Arts & Cultural Centre (BACC) building so I’m a regular there. However, I thought the activity allowed children, that have never been there, to enjoy their learning experience.

What activities were there?

All the children had to answer questions on ‘the discovery sheet’ while viewing all the art pieces in the exhibition.

Which one was Paraan’s favourite?

He liked the video series of ‘the dust pan*’ where the artist tells a story about a housewife who has to work really hard washing clothes and cleaning her house. One of his favourites was the model smashing her face on the dust pan. He said it was funny.

How did he feel when he knew he had won the competition?

He was really excited!

What did you think about the Thailand Eye Exhibition and the British Council competition activities?

I had participated in a previous workshop with British Council and Bangkok Arts & Cultural Centre (BACC) before. I thought the activity was interesting. Normally we visit BACC quite often. So I hoped my son would enjoy the activity as much as I did. Personally, I thought it was a good activity. The children could enjoy the exhibition and, moreover, could think deeper about it.

What activities were there?

Everyone in the family joined in; his dad, his brother, his sister and I. Caillou had to look at all the art pieces and write down the answers on the discovery sheet.

Caillou, which piece was your favourite?

“I liked the one that has loads of rice cookers and lights. So I wrote ‘light’ down on the Discovery sheet!”

How do you feel being runner up in the British Council competition?

I’m very proud!
