Course objectives & methodology

To provide all-round holistic development of communication, language and literacy skills in English
To encourage positive interaction between learners and their peers and adults
To support physical, personal, social, creative and emotional development as well as problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
To build greater knowledge and understanding of the world
To increase confidence in English language skills (spanning speaking, listening, reading and writing), preparing learners for primary school
We employ child-centred activities to develop students’ learning
We build and consolidate language skills through stories, songs, play and focused activities

Options for partnership

Fully integrated daytime programme with the British Council as the sole provider of English language input

Class hours: Approximately 200 class hours per academic year per class

Course focus: A holistic approach to developing the primary skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking with an emphasis on clear pronunciation) and the foundation (grammar and vocabulary) as well as personal and interpersonal development.

Supplementary daytime programme with the British Council providing English language input for the learners in cooperation with the kindergarten's own teachers

Class hours: Approximately 200 class hours per academic year per class

Intensive holiday courses with British Council teachers during school breaks (e.g. around Songkran)

Class hours: Approximately 30 class hours per course per class

Course focus: All skills with an emphasis on developing communicative abilities

Weekend & after-school classes

Class hours: Approximately 80 class hours per academic year per class

Course focus: Additional support for the kindergaten's English curriculum
