Collaborations with True's Plook Panya

Established in 2007 to provide knowledge as well as to plant the seeds of morality and environmental concern in Thai youth, True's Plook Panya shares mutual aims with the British Council in creating a wider impact on Thailand’s education system and young people.

English – We Can

In 2013, the British Council and TRUE Plook Panya will embark on a new joint project to train English teachers in remote parts of Thailand.  Over a 6 month period, British Council teacher trainers will work with teachers in innovative ways to develop both their English language competency and their classroom methodology and skills.  Using the British Council’s face-to-face and online resources and through use of TRUE’s school network, connectivity solutions and  video conferencing system iMeeting, we aim to bring much needed teacher development opportunities to teachers who might otherwise miss out.

Once Upon a Time Award

In March 2013, the British Council collaborated with TRUE Plook Panya on the Young Storyteller of the Year Award as part of the celebrations to launch the Thai version of the LearnEnglish Kids website.  UK storyteller, Jan Blake, performed at the finals at Chom Chon Baan Nong Fai school in Kanchanaburi Province and was the main judge of the competition.  We look forward to more great stories next year.
