The conference will be held in the university’s faculty of education in collaboration with our partner, Chulalongkorn University Language Institute (CULI). CULI was founded in 1977 to service the needs of its students for instruction in English language. It is housed in the Prem Purachatra Building – named in honor of a Thai prince and scholar, who in the last century, dedicated himselfto the study of the English language and literature.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration. These organisations include educational institutions, employers, governments and professional bodies. Originally launched in 1980, for more than 40 years IELTS has set the standard for English language testing to help people achieve their professional, personal, and academic ambitions. Thailand TESOL is a professional non-profit and non-political organization established under the patronage of H.R.H. Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra. Its purposes are to strengthen English language education at all levels, to undertake research in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages, to offer scholarships, to disseminate information, and to cooperate in appropriate ways with other groups having similar concerns. Thailand TESOL is composed of volunteers who are teachers of English at all types of educational institutions in Thailand. The executive committee includes ten advisory board members, past and immediate past presidents, and executive committee members. Thailand TESOL’s regional affiliates are in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chonburi, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Prathom, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Pitsanuloke, and Ubon Ratchathani.
